Hi, did you manage to fix the sunroof issue? I have a 2007 and the sunroof is stuck open, i've done the fuses, all good, don the 20 sec reset, didn't work, any other suggestions? I read somewhere that you can run live wires from a 12v to the switch points and it will close but I can't find where I read it to try it lol So, any ideas on how to close t would be great. TY Chris
And any thoughts on why i keep getting suspension fault warning light coming on? It resets itself when I switch off the engine, but then when i'm driving the warning light comes back on, then off when I switch off the car!!! LR3s don't you just love em??? lol

If the battery has been disconnected, the one touch and anti-trap function will become inoperative. Close the roof opening panel and continue to hold the switch for a further 20 seconds to allow the sunroof to complete a full cycle. This will complete the roof opening panels calibration routine and
reset these functions
The motor has power on pins 5 & 6. The other pins are Hall Effect switches (electronic) that supply speed and direction of travel to the roof panel computer.
Might want to look over these sections of the shop manual, which is a free download below. Includes schematics, and how to remove motor, ECU, etc.
So all of that didn't work for me. I managed to get the sunroof closed by jumpering the 12v supply to the module to the motor leads. I suspect the module is toast. Any tips on removing it? the manual says to move it to the LH side, but it doesn't want to budge for me.
The fix is very simple and I had to do this as all other things I tried failed, from fuses to 12V so, you can easily pull down a edge of the interior roof from the back seats, it just unclips if you give it a tug downwards. Now, I made a tool to do the job, I bent the tip of an old dinner knife, about an inch, so that the knife kind of looked like an angles screw driver. When you look beneath the roof and the panel you've taken down, you will see a white plastic cross/screw fixture right next to the sunroof motor. Use the 'Tool' to turn that white plastic cross fit anti-clockwise, and as if by magic, the roof will start to close. Repeat until sunroof is totally shut lol then NEVER open it again lolol well until it's fixed that is Here's a pic of the screwdriver part I made to
do the job, and what you're looking for between the interior roof and the roof Good luck!
Thanks Brosnan, but that isn't what I was looking for. I got my roof closed by Jumpering the motor to the 12v power supply. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to remove the module. The instructions say to "Slide the module to the LH side to release it from the bracket "
But I've pushed on it really hard to the LH side and it doesn't budge. I feel like I'm going to break it.
Any clues on a clip or something that has to be lifted or moved in order to remove the module?
Hello all, just got a LR3 motors run roofs don't open. This is my 3rd Rover 3 different models. I hear them cycle on the reset procedure, any ideas where to start, they are stuck closed. thanks in advance.
Recently acquired a 2008 LR3 and the sunroofs do not open.
I tried the 20+ second reset trick, removed the battery cables and did a hard reset like suggested above. Checked the #20 15 amp fuse and replaced it.
Still know joy.
Have not checked the fusible links, but is there anything else I should be looking at?
I am not as concerned with getting the sunroofs to open on command, but it would be nice.
I need to get it opened because the drains are clogged.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Only the front section is a sunroof, the rest is a 1 piece fixed glass panel. For the reset try hold the button down longer, they say 20 seconds but mine was more like 30.
Thanks. I had read that it might take longer than 20 seconds to go into the calibration mode so I held the button for a full hundred count, but still the roof did not move.
I think tomorrow I'm going to try to jump the motor on pins 5 and 6 to see if I can rule out a bad motor.
Any suggestions on ruling out the switch or module?
I did figure out that the previous owner had disconnected the module. I plugged it back in and went through all the steps again, but still couldn't get the roof to open.
Has anyone been able to remove the module like the manual says by moving it to the right? Like a previous post I didn't have any luck. How is it attached to the bracket?
