Default 2006 LR3 Transmission Sleeve???

New here, just bought an 06' LR3 from the local Land Rover Dealer. Has 65K miles. They performed service in which they "insepcted and found transmission sleeve leaking". They state they proceeded to change the sleeve, gasket, and reinstalled the pan. I have literally owned this car for 48 hours, so I am screaming at them to fix it, however, I want to research this myself also. Anybody else had this problem? Is the tranny fluid on the LR3's an olive color? Looked more like oil to me, but the fluid definately looked like it originated at the tranny pan. What's your thoughts?

That would be the connector plug to the valve body. you have to pull the pan to fix the plug and install the new sleeve as they call it. And yes the fluid is an olive color. and its not cheap.

Congratulations on the new vehicle. Sorry for the issues, too bad you didn't catch it before you bought it and got it fixed as part of the deal.

I suggest that you have the fluid changed in the differentials, and transfer box, as well as the filter and fluid in the transmission. I qualified indy should be able to change the fluids. The type of fluid debate, quantities, as well as procedures can be found on most LR sites.
