Default 2007 LR3, lost only key, new keys from dealership don’t work. Help me!!!!

I lost the key to my 2007 LR3. I ordered a new one using the VIN number. They sent me a key with the exact VIN numbers. It didn’t work. So, I ordered another one after explaining that the key didn’t work. At $250 a key, the second one didn’t work as well. They advised me to bring it to the dealership. My problem is, is that I cannot get it into neutral So haul it there. Which is 60+ miles away. Any advice? I miss driving my baby. I know the key needs to be programmed. Yet. If I can’t get her to move, what else can I do? The place I bought her from o ly had one key. I wonder if they replaced the ignition to get a key to work. Do I need to replace the ignition switch, coil, the whole thing concerning the ignition. I need her to run. Any help and or advice will be extremely and whole heartily appreciated.

Pull up the surround around the shifter and the there is a release that allows you to shift into neutral.

Most tow truck drivers know how to do it.

how are you trying to code the new dealer key to the vehicle?

To be clear, a dealer key is not coded to your vehicle, the only reason they need your VIN is to cut the key blade.

Ive tried that. Im going to take a video or a pic of how I’ve tried that and maybe you can see if I’m doing it wrong. If you don’t mind, that is. Thank you for your reply!
