Activity Key

Does anyone know if an activity key system can be added to a vehicle that wasn't originally optioned with it from the factory?

Has anyone done it?
Any idea on cost and what’s involved?
Does it have to be “installed” or do you just purchase the wristband and have it programmed?

I know it can be added as my parts guy said it could.

not sure what’s involved. Call your local dealer(not the guy on the corner that sells weed), they can sort you out.

You install a module in the tailgate that works with the activity key, see

I was ball-parked about $1400 to add the activity key to my '17, but confirmed it could be done.

Not sure about the LR4.

I have a service appointment for the dealer to install the activity band/key on my 2018. Negotiated it in the sale. Should be useful for paddleboarding.
