Now they are becoming like lexus, an alphanumeric model... Why can't they just keep adding years to the LR3 name. The interior looks slightly better but, I don't much care for the center console. However, 375hp is sure to give it some kick
Yeah, Land Rover has a media site that has the photos and info.
www.media2010landrover.com or just media.landrover.com
I dont' know about everyone else but it looks just 'freshened' to me...not a whole lot different...visually...not like when the DII went to LR3 (DIII everywhere but the US)

It is just a number you can paint the plastic and put a number 4 on it big deal!
I think the 4 badge is uncalled for the changes do not constitute a model name change.
they are playing to the wimpy yuppie crowd
But that's on the outside, perhaps they made some significant changes that are not so easily identifiable from just looking at it from a showroom floor viewpoint.
Of course if the just switched out the OEM tires for something useful, that could be worth the name change. (I'd stick an icon guy here, but where'd they all go)
I thought the same thing- Why the change in designation when there didn't appear to be a whole lot going on.

1300 parts changed. New Engine (Jag 375hp vs 315hp) New 6 speed tranny. New suspension. Totally redone interior. That right there are much more significant changes than from DI to DII.
Well, I have mixed feelings about this LR4 for a couple of reasons:
1) I love my 05 LR3 which I bought new.
2) The exterior of the LR4 doesn't really differ from the LR3.
3) It would be my luck that if I bought an LR4 then the Tdi will come to the US the following year so I might as well wait.
