Default 265 60 r18 vs 275 65 r18

Basically looking at a 30.5” vs 32” tire.

Im going to be in OHV parks near me, (CA-Bay Area) some small water crossings. Moderate rocks (not extreme at all)

I have a newly acquired lr3, which has the 265 60 r18. Wrangler Duratracs on it. These don’t rub and from my limited knowledge they won’t bottom out on the bump stops should I have a suspension issue. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

Ive been eyeing a 32” as in the title, but it would theoretically only provide a small lift (.75 above and below roughly) on lift.

As the 32” tires will require the bump stock kit to prevent me from being stranded in the event of a failure, I’m trying to weigh out the pros and cons.

Ive been very happy so far with what I have, but haven’t pushed it. I also will be soon daily driving the rig 40miles a day.

Just curious what others with more experience off-roading would consider as I’m still very green to off-roading.

Added - have that IIdtool

I would stick with your size, less issues if you go to bump stops.

Also easier on the commute. You can feel a power difference between the smaller tires and 32’s even more dramatic when you go to 33’s

Thanks for the responses. I’ll keep the same size for now then. It looks like the stock tire size is 255 60 r18, which puts it at a 30” tire, but the 265 60 r18 is a 30.5” tire. So I currently don’t have stock on the vehicle. Do you know what is the largest tire size I can run on the stock bump stops?

265/65 is about largest you'll fit as a spare at a squeeze, been running 265/60 for almost 2 years and find them an ideal size.
