Thanks, knowing that helps a little. No brief flash, only during bulb check do I get the orange dash light. The settings I changed were same as you did. I am going to check my wiring at the module again to make sure I did not mess up a pin configuration.

Did you have the connector harness for each of the control module and the radar sensor, or did you individually attach the wires as per the Disco 3 thread? If you individually connected them -- which of course can work just fine -- following the Disco 3 instructions, go through the thread because the instructional pictures there, the first ones posted, were wrong, and in later posts he posted the wiring corrections.
Proper harness that came pigtailed so the connector contact and such are nice and proper. I pulled the connector out and compared PIN numbers and the corrected photo (I did see that). All is well. Verified power at the pins including ignition on. Even jumped power and ignition on as one so it would be always on, nothing. Also found a setting for Jaguar Speed control and changed it to adaptive, nothing but I also have the other on. I may disable the first one.
However....
My module is a Jaguar module, no LR logo on it. AH42-14B588-AA
Looking back in the thread I see just one mention of this module on page 2.... I may have an issue after all with the module:
In this case you have AH42-14B588-AA
The initial A is the most important element in your case, as it indicates the year this item was introduced. It follows hexadecimal standards in that 9 would be 2009 but A is 2010 and B would be 2011 etc.
The H4 after the A denotes the chassis or model type this item is globally applicable to.
The 2 after that denotes the department responsible. with trim, body and electronic etc having their own code.
The code between the hyphens actually denotes what the item is, as in all engine management ECU's are 12A650, instrument packs 10849 and so on.
Interestingly this also corresponds with the call out code on Microcat
The final AA is a designation for hardware and software versions and try as i might, i simply forget which is which.
For example AA on the end of an instrument pack might indicate an MPH one where BA might be relevant for a KPH version but once both are updated to newer XB software this element of item code becomes rather irrelevant.
Anyway, as indicated, the preceding A really does make this look like a D4 ECU
So it looks like I have a D4 module. And if so, it will not work on the D3 because the High Speed Can Bus is a different bit rate. So I am pretty sure this is my issue here which I totally overlooked.... Actually happy about this since this is likely the issue and now I know what it is.
edit: $40 later and I have a module from the UK to wait for now. It came with a mount bracket so with luck I can fit it into its official location. But I will say the last time I ordered an ACC ecu from the UK a airbag module came instead, even though the pic and part numbers all matched fine.

No, just $30 USD/free shipping (thought I paid $20 for some reason, it was not). Could be worse. And I could probably toss it back on eBay to recoup some of that. I have been more foolish with money in other ways.

For me i meant, just found an NNW501923 for about $70 delivered so i''l stick my D4 one on gumtree/facebook and see if i can get my money back.
I installed the module and I only got "cruise not available" when I would press any of the steering cruise switches. This was not happening before when I would press them, so obviously something was different. No calibration alerts or anything. I figured I would let the truck sit for a short while, at least a couple minutes for it to do a proper power down as I read once before that worked for someone. And it worked for me too. It still does not show up in ECU infos which even GAP said it should. But maybe on an LR3 it will not. Also there is no way to calibrate it in the GAP menus that I can see. However, it seems to be working fine as is. While I have not tested it much, it did apply brakes as I came up to a slower vehicle and I have no errors. When I apply the gas with it set, it says 'cruise override'. But it still does not show up in the list under faults even when showing all ECUs (although 'Cruise Control' shows under all ECUs, but says not fitted). So it seems to work, but not sure if it will ever spit out faults or such that can be read. Maybe the truck needs another sleep cycle? Will tinker and check with GAP again.
One thing I like and did not know about was it showing what speed the cruise it set to. That is something I like in modern vehicles and I always felt the LR3 should have had from day one. I mean why not?

And this is how the module looks installed, mostly covered by the front bumper cover. I really had no choice on location unless I wanted to get really creative with modifying the grille. I have since painted the brakes black to hide them better. And it sits low enough that downward pressure on the bumper cover does not press onto the radar module.
