"Air Suspension Destroys Rover in Parking Garage."

I can see the story now:

"Disco2Fever, with his shiny new LR3, enters
a parking garage like he does every few days
when he makes trips into town.

"Yikes! He thinks nervously as he watches the
height control bar pass barely over-head through
the sunroof. Double-Yikes! as is passes harmlessly,
but CLOSE above the rear ceiling window.

"As he's looking for a spot, he knocks his day
planner off the console, and it hits the "RAISE"
lever, engaging the air suspension.

"With Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown rocking,
he doesn't hear a thing, and is suddenly baffled
when his Rover is scraping the ceiling, as glass
pops and cracks all around him."

So I ask you gents- HOW LIKELY is this going to be to happen? They stick those suspension controls RIGHT in the open, and I'm wondering if that ever causes you or anyone else problems?

Thanks guys!

Pat

you can lock it in access mode to prevent it from happening.

You've got a better chance of spilling your coffee, soda, water or beer all over your center console and damaging electrical components...

Default Valet parking.....

what about having a valet park you car in a garage? There is a hospital by me that does this and I'm petrified to let them have the truck because I can just see one of those clowns futzing with the suspension like a shiny new toy and all hell breaking loose.

Depends on the garage and where you are... I agree with threalassmikeg, having actually spent the money to replace a bunch of stuff in the center console after having an AMP spill down in there, your WAY more likely to have something else go wrong before this.

I work downtown and park in a garage every day, and I actually have accidentally hit the raise button in the garage, but even in off-road height, I still clear the roof by an inch or so.
