Yeah, links. And thank you for sharing. I’ve got an LR4 waiting for me me to finish a 300tDi swap on a defender so I can slap a motor in it that needs an extra key.

The other question is did he program the newer style to the LR3. I need a shop, but I want it without the hassle of customers

These both worked on my 2011 LR4 with IIDtool BT. Interesting that these 2 keys worked perfect, and the IIDTool finished by saying Successful, and the 2 OEM used keys I tried ended up working but the IIDtool said they failed. Anyway now the Tool says I have 5 keys programed, 2 Old original and 1 of each from the links below, and 1 key that is lost is still programed to the car. I wish there was a way to remove keys too.

There is a way to re-program all your keys. I think it may be a dealer only option. That way any keys wondering around are no longer any good. I think I may have actually read that in the manual, I forget.

Can you explain the process you used to code these keys? Did you do the new aftermarket ones first? Or did you try the original ones first? Please share.

Default Keys

i bought the LR4 and it only had one key, so I first bought 2 used original 315mhz keys from LR4’s. I used the IID tool and used the Add a key feature and followed the process, it walks you through the process in ahoy 1 minute. To use this feature of the tool from the mail menu select Service/test, then BCM-Body control then Add a key. I followed the same process from for the cheap Knock of keys too.

killer. I think the act of replacing the KVM which is the way the dealer does it is the only way to get rid of the old keys.
