I had to convert a non-auto light car to one with fog lights years ago, basically add the Lighting Package.
The differences are the switch, windshield(with the rain sensor, it is mounted to the glass), HIDs vs halogen, fog lights and bumper harness. There is no need to change the configuration, and I believe all the fuses were already installed, along with the relays.

There are two different sets of HID assemblies, one for vehicles with adaptive lights and one without.
My SE had HID but not the kind that move.
My HSE has the adaptive that move when you turn.
Neither type need to level because the air suspension does that. The only vehicles that have a leveling option (and its manual I think) are the coil spring vehicles and I don't think we got them in the US but I could be wrong.

Yeah, no leveling in the US.
To have the auto-lights work properly, you'll need the rain sensor, and to wire it up to the LIN bus. I have seen these with and without the plug for the rain sensor(not sure the exact logic, but has to do with other options in the headliner - sunroof, rear a/c, TPMS...) but even if the harness is not there, you can steal power, ground and LIN bus from the sunroof motor right there, and mount the sensor. This would also give you the option to turn on rain sensing wipers(CCF change required)
For the fog lights, once the switch is in place, get the lights, bumper harness and bezels. The brackets for the lights is in place on the bumper already, even with a outline of where to cut for the correct holes.

...not sure what you guys mean by "level" or "leveling." My headlights auto-level as I drive over hills and such, as part of the adaptive headlight function. Are you referring to a different function?
Yeah, part of AFS is Dynamic Leveling. In other markets there is a stand alone manual leveling feature, with a little dial on the headlight switch. In the US it was AFS, or no leveling at all.
"Adaptive" functionality really refers to the ability of the headlights to swing side to side based on your steering angle and speed so that they illuminate the bends in the road. These are "special" headlights and something above and beyond the standard HIDs. Auto-leveling is something different. I believe ALL HID headlights in the US are required to have an auto-leveling feature to ensure you don't blind oncoming traffic. Usually the way this is done is within the headlights themselves. However, what Dave was stating is that they LR3 HIDs do not have auto leveling built into the headlights, but rather it is built into the car itself via the suspension leveling. This has me wondering though... when I turn my car on, I know the headlights swing to the outside and then swing to the inside to test the adaptive range of motion, but I thought they also went up and down too... which would imply auto leveling. I'll have to pay attention next time I drive at night.
Ah, that makes sense and explains the up/down testing!
The housings I took off the hse are hid projection, very heavy for what they are,removing them turned on a light in the hse headlight with arrows so guessing they are the adaptive housings, guessing I need that turned on for that to work on the 05
The 05 is definitely odd some stuff pre wired some is not
Rear a/c pre wired, park assist not, I know the fog/drive light harness is there, premium speaker wiring is not nor wiring for cell phone or headphone jacks biggest thing right now is getting front seat heaters working( I have another thread for that)

To check if they are HID vs AFS, look at the sticker on top of the assembly, it will say either NAS-HID or NAS-AFS.
And yeah, I never really tried to make any sense of what they decide to include in the harnesses, that usually leaves me trying to understand a complete lack of logic.
