Bluetooth phone connectivity - calls become distorted
Hi,
I am wondering if there is something I am missing. My '06 HSE allows me to connect and make calls, but, after a minute or two the call gets choppy and conversations become unintelligible due to distortion. If I wait, it clears up, but then happens again during the conversation/call.
I have had this issue using a Blackberry Passport SE, Motorola Moto X Pure, and my Google Pixel 2 XL; therefore, I can rule out it being the phone, since I have tested 3 now.
Has anyone experienced this or have thoughts on what the issue is?
Thanks

That's what I was referencing above... My '09 has a module from LR4 and the BT phone is of the best quality I've encountered in a vehicle. I'm just not sure if you can simply drop one in your year.

It has been a while, but I think the issue has been resolved!
I accidentally left my lights on and killed the battery a couple of weeks ago. I mean, the battery was completely dead! No lights, and no nothing to indicate there was any juice in that battery.
I jumped the battery and it appears that everything in the LR3 reset itself to default. I made necessary changes (e.g., miles to km, Fahrenheit to Celsius, etc.) to suit my requirements.
Since the original post, I have not used Bluetooth; however, yesterday i needed to use Bluetooth. The call was going well and after about 10 minutes in to my conversation, I realized that there was no distortion, and no issues what so ever.
My mind was blown!
I tested by making other calls, and not once did i experience my original issue!
So, it appears that the solution was a complete reset for the Bluetooth system.
Results may vary, but this happy accident worked for me!

I have a 2013 LR4 and have the exact same issue and occurs on different devices, so I know it isn't the cell phone causing the issue (plus those same phones worked on other BT headsets and cars without issue). Has anyone determined a solution? I saw that one person's battery died and the system reset may have solved the problem. Thanks, looking for a fix
