Bonnet open..beep beep all night..

You can take it apart, clean it and bend the metal 'spring' that works the sensor. The sensor is just a switch, not unlike the one found inside a mouse clicker for a computer. A metal
'spring' inside pushes down on the switch when closed. The spring is designed to allow tolerance for play. If its been compressed down too far from age/fatigue, it will not have enough force to push the actual switch mechanism. So if you bend it open more, it will apply more force.
I simply cut my wires and tied em together.

I also tied the wires together, but if you are having to slam the bonnet to close it, you may wish to check your release handle is in the closed position. I kept finding my bonnet would not latch unless I slammed it also - only to find out I had a slightly sticky release level. No I just make sure I push it back every time I pull it to open the bonnet.

I had the same issue for a while, eventually bit the bullet and got 2 new latches and a new cable (front half only). figured the ~$75 was worth it. swap took 10 min

This is different from the sensor yes? Thanks

The part number is LR065340G (even though it says "right", both are the same part). This part does come with a new alarm sensor as well (and since you'd buy 2, you have a spare sensor on hand going forward). I use Atlantic British when possible.
The cable part # is FSE500031. Most LR parts sites have it, runs ~$20.
I'd do the latches 1st and see if that solves it. Then do the cable another time
