Default Brake Cable in the EPB Module

Vehicle: 2006 LR3 HSE
We replaced the gears in the EPB module along with the brake cables to the rear wheels.
Installed everything back in the vehicle and set the park brake shoes as specified.
Activated the ebrake switch and the ebrakes came on-have not caliprated the module at this time.
Pulled the manual ebrake release cable to see if it worked-it does.
My question now is what is the procedure to get the ebrake cables reattached inside the EPB module?
I assume once the above is done, then will need to recalibrate the system to have the ebrake function as designed.

I am guessing you adjusted the parking brakes without first activating the system, so the module could have been in the wrong position for setting them with the torque wrench. Also the release does not detach the cables.
