BRAKE PADS
GONNA TRY TO REPLACE THE PADS ONMY 05 LR3. ARE THEY FAIRLY EASY TO CHANGE AND DOES THE SENSORS NEED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL? GONNA ORDER THE PADS OFF THE INT, WHAT ARE SOME GOOD PADS THAT WORK PRETTY GOOD? THANKS
THANKS. ILL CHECK THAT SITE OUT. I JUST SEEN THE SENSORS ON THE INT. AND WASNT SURE ABOUT THEM. I CALLED A LOCAL SHOP TODAY AND THEY DIDNT CARRY OR ORDER LAND ROVER PARTS. THEY TOLD ME TO BRING THE PADS IN AND THEY WOULD CHANGE THEM. KINDA WEIRD I THOUGHT. HAD IT SERVICED THIS WEEK AND THEY TOLD ME I HAD 20% LEFT ON THESE PADS SO IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND CHANGE THEM. THEY HAVE BEEN WHISTLEING A LITTLE. DIDNT BOTHER TO ASK WHAT THEY WOULD CHARGE. PROB OUTRAGEOUS. BUT THANKS ALOT. GONNA CHECK OUT THE SITE.
Stay away from the local shops if you want a good brake job done with better parts.
Consider Atlantic British or Rover Connection for your pads. No you don't need to replace the sensors, yes you do need to use lotrs of sound deadening material to prevent squeaks, and do a full brak bleed, apx 3 pints.

In reference to the brake bleed...how do you go about doing that? What tools would you use? I am going to try and change the front brake pads myself. I've done brakes before on my other vehicles ie Blazer, Honda Civic. I hope its the same idea.
Sean.
