Default Broken Headlamp connector pin, thoughts??

Hello all,
first post, but been enjoying other's since purchasing my '07 LR3 HSE last summer!
So, here's my question:has anyone had a pin break on the male end of a headlamp assembly connection?
My front right blinker had been inop (complete with fast blinker internal indicator) for a few weeks and all troubleshooting in accordance with previous post has not helped. I then noticed this today (notice missing pin in attached photo):

Does anyone have experience or thoughts on soldering a new pin? Anything to help me avoid spending the few hundred dollars required to replace the entire headlamp.
Thanks much!!

I have similar problem that the pin does not protruded long enough to latch the black plastic latch. I have replaced the black plastic latch after a second try as the first one got broken when I tried to latch it. However, the pin does not seem to protrude long enough to catch the latch when the door is being closed. I’m not sure is there only the metal pin or there is something on top of it like a plaster cap. However, as far as all the photos provided that I have seem. they all look like just a metal pin without any cap or extension. Any advice that I could get the pin long enough to work. Many thanks in advance.

My 2009 Lr3 pinout looks completely different. If youre 100% sure its that missing pin thats the actual issue then you can twist that connector and pull it out for easier troubleshooting \ game plan forward. I have a bunch of pinless connectors in my plug that arent actually used. Which is why im asking you if youre sure that missing one isnt by design as theres nothing actually wired to that on the backside,

The right hand turn signal is in connector C0011 pin #3 wire color green with white stripe. Ground wire is pin #12 and the wire color is black. Look at the Jack or plug and figure out which is which then go from there.

Hope this helps

Jeff

I have the same problem too as the pin does not protrude long enough to latch the black plastic latch. I thought the pin was broken, but the photos that i have seen here seem to be the same. How to fix it?

Like has been said, make sure that is the troublesome pin, then check whether it has just pushed back in to the connector. There is a member on this or UK forum that sells the pins/sockets
