Default A/C slow to cool then ice cold

I checked the low and high side and everything seems to spec.

I also read the LR3 doesn't have a traditional compressor.

Anyone have this issue? Basically warm air for 3-4 min, then ice cold(compressor kicks on), once cool it stays cool as long as the truck doesn't sit for hours(typical errands it operates normal between stops).

It seems to come on faster if I don't turn on the rear air and started after I removed and relocated my exterior temp sensor and installed my winch(could be a coincidence).

Default Not lr3 but . . .

I had a similar problem on my Audi TT where the A/C acted like that, and the fix was a new front ambient temp sensor.

Perhaps something happened with your sensor relocate?

I had thought about that but what possible explanation or sense could that make.. Now my land rover thinks it knows whats best for me based on the exterior temp..

I'll mess with it tomorrow. I could care less if I just unplugged it but it throws a check engine light...

Well ...

If a computer is making decisions based on input from multiple sensors, and one sensor is giving data that is out of range (like from a short) then the computer doesn't know how to handle it, and acts strange.

Knowing that it was the fix in my situation, and that your problem appeared after adjusting that part on your truck, it would be the first place I looked.

Seems to be about a $20 part.

Wiring could be munched somewhere too though, if it's not the sensor itself.

Good luck!
