Yes, that’s the same problem I had with mine. Ultimately, I ended up dremeling the slot in that upper bracket to extend further down (and possibly to the side). I also put a little bit of green felt with a sticky back underneath the top half of the bracket. The problem is that the bracket wasn’t even angled correctly, which put a lot of stress/strain on that mounting point. The last time I torqued it down, it loosened the Riv-nut. So… now I’m not sure what to do, but I may have to end up using some JB-weld on the Riv-nut. I’ve done that before with success… I guess I could drill it out and install a larger one too, but the point is that I think I’m going to rebend the upper bracket so that it sits at a better angle with the body.
