Check engine light after swapping water pump
Re-reading your original post. When you cleaned the TB, did you remove it by chance? If so that may be your issues. The metal gasket is one-time use really. But ideally one using some high-temp sealant. I prefer Reinzoil. Apply a very thin film on each side of the TB gasket and the EGR gasket. I had a lean code and this took care of it.
Thanks for the offer! I don’t think I’ll need the GAP tool for this issue, but I do plan on purchasing one soon. I just bought the LR about a month ago, and even with the CEL on, it’s running way better than when I got it. It has a few issues that were neglected by the PO that I’m working through right now, but overall it’s solid. I’m in Canton BTW.
Pulled the throttle body gasket and applied a thin layer of red rtv gasket sealant to both sides as suggested. So far, I’m over 200 miles in, and it’s running smooth with no CEL. Thanks for the help!
