Clutch grinding sound

Default Clutch grinding sound
Hi all, looking for a little advise. I havecthe chance to buy a Disco 3 2005 plate for 3k but on first inspection I found when in neutral I push down the clutch pedal there is a grinding sound coming from transmission. The sound disappears once the clutch is fully engaged. Any thoughts?

hi did you manage to find out what the problem was as I'm now experiencing this??
