Default Could a rear end collision cause suspension damage ?

2005 LR3. I was rear ended while sitting still at a red light with my foot on the brake. He was probably going about 30 - 35 mph, claims he didn't see me or the light, so didn't hit his brakes. There is no cosmetic damage to my car, but the light for the suspension came on. When I got home, I tried to raise and lower the car and it will only stay in the regular default position. Could the accident cause this or is it a coincidence ?

Yes. Have checked by dealer or good shop. His insurance owes you big time. You did have police come I hope...

Great you are OK 30 mph is quite a whallop from a 3 - 4000 pound pile of sheet metal.
