Dash Cracks, Now You See Them, Now You Don't
Just after I bought my 2006 LR3 I learned about the dash cracks around the air bag. Mine didn't have them so I thought I got lucky. Then a couple of weeks ago, there they were.
First I tried some liquid vinyl mending stuff. Hot mess.
Next I looked into a new dash, but the cost
Finally decided that a dash mat was worth the $52.99 investment. It came today and I think I have a winner.
Here's a couple of pictures to show what it looks like. I went with the Tech Fabric from a company called Dashcare.

TOM, I will certainly keep everyone updated.
June, I know they're still there but you know what they say, Out of Sight, Out of Mind. As long as they don't crawl out from under the pad and attack me, I can live with them. LOL.

Yes I got it from dashcare.com. Just looking at them online I thought it looked better (less seams, etc.) than the dashmat brand.
It is the Dash Tech fabric in black. It comes with velcro to anchor it. I'm going to add more in some areas to make it lie more flat.
