Disable EPB Module via GapIID
Just an update on my attempts. I got access to full CCF files from Gap and found a setting for EPB module fitment. I had high hopes and changed this setting to "Not Fitted." Though, like most CCF settings, this had no effect. In the process I did find settings to change the temperature and fuel mileage units to metric, so it wasn't a waste. It seems that this work around won't be possible and I'll be stuck replacing the module if I want it fixed. Really, all I wanted was to get rid of the error messages.
Thanks all
Thanks all
Mine has been nothing but problems and expense for the 5 years I've had the vehicle. Now that it needs a whole new EPB module... I'm throwing in the towel on it. It's prohibitively expensive for me to fix at this time. I see the appeal, but something termed "emergency" should not be so finicky. To be fair, the previous owner did not maintain it and that may be the source of these troubles. Either way, I don't currently have a need for the EPB and won't be fixing mine anytime soon.
