Yet another Christmas wish for santa, my daughter wants to be able to use bluetooth to play her music. She has an '06 LR3. Bluetooth phone but no audio. I am assuming this is not an easy fix?

 

I bought this and it works just fine.

 

To add to the above, if you have the rear AUX input you can wire an aftermarket Bluetooth receiver to that input as well. Cheaper and easier than trying to make a stock system work or retrofitting one.

 

Ive tried them all and this is the best by far. Nit cheap, but well worth it. Plays music loud and does phone calls well.

I picked up a $35 bluetooth widget from Bestbuy and it works great. Plugs into the aux connector and charges via the read outlet.

 

So he finally overcame the muted volume?

 

LRBT-1 is nice, but not being able to use steering controls with someone so integrated it a total fail for me. The only solution that worked with steering was from http://www.african-outdoor.com. But people has issues ordering (slow to respond and ship) and now that site it down. I wish I had this module on hand for some reverse-engineering. It was all off-the-shelf stuff so maybe I can re-create it sometime.
