Driveshaft center support replacement
Adding an alternative - I just replaced a bad carrier (couldn't have been more than a few hundred miles from the rattle mentioned above) with an aftermarket solution from JXB Performance. A good bit more expensive at just over $200, but makes it a 30 minute job and when/if I ever need to replace the propshaft I'll likely re-use this carrier rather than stock - it is substantially better made.
The JXB Performance carrier is nice indeed, but its a short term bandaid. All too often by the time the carrier fails the bearing itself is starting to go - the JXB Performance carrier obviously does not replace the bearing. And the CV and u-joint on the shaft are worn too. I would rather just spend $400 and get a total new OEM driveshaft. Then again I trail ride, so I like knowing the shaft won't strand me on the trail, hate getting shafted....
