Hi..Our LR3 SE 2006 needs new Engine drive belts.
Are aftermarket Gates Belts as good as oem?
If not which do you suggest.
Thanks

OEM belts are not very expensive...not sure why you'd go with some off-brand. You are talking about primary and secondary serpentine belts, right?

(not sure if there are any others)

Drive Belts..Two Drive Belts at Land Rover parts department was $110 at one LR dealer and $140 plus tx at another.
The local mechanic is charging me $150 to do with Gates..sounds a good difference.

Gates belts are my first choice 100% no matter what vehicle (that includes Timing belts). It's real simple for me, Gates Belts have proven to work without issue many times (30+ years). You will be glad you went this direction.
You got it done for less money and didn't have to compromise on quality.
Just a Headsup, NAPA sells Gates Belts as their private label brand = easy to get local!

I've had both serpentine belt done, at LR, and don't recall the price being that much. I could be mistaken as I had other work happening concurrently.
