Thanks guys. What are the signs of my coolant temp sensor going bad? No reading?

 

I wouldn't worry about it.

On most cars, rich running if the sensor fails in such a way that the computer thinks the engine is cold all of the time.

 

I will throw in my 2 cents - a dealer code read is a lot less expensive than an overheated engine because you had an issue and didn't deal with it. An android app, indy mechanic, or dealer - whatever you do, do something if you are getting warning lights.

My Lr3 and my wife's RR both stay very warm for a long time after they are driven but neither have any issues, they are just insulated very well.

 

im new to this site as well.....do u guyz keep ur LR n the garage...especially n tx on a extreme triple digit day my fan stays on after driving even if less than 3miles

 

What kind of Rover do you have?
