Fault Code P2100 - 06 LR3 Throttle Body
I have an 06 LR3 with 70k miles on it. Reading a fault code P2100 which says Throttle Body Actuator. I'm assuming the throttle body just needs a good cleaning. Dealership quoted me $250 and I'd rather do it myself if possible. Any advice??!
Maybe. But on the LR3, the throttle body also includes an electric actuator that moves the throttle plate when you push down the pedal (putting pedal to the electons, so to speak). It won't be a cheap part if needs to be replaced, the favorite sport of dealers. Here are some pages from the shop manual to help you decide if you want to tackle it.
I would start with unplug, clean, and reset connector to the unit.

Throttle body cleaning codes are more lean codes and issues with stalling. With the code for the throttle body itself you need a new one. Otherwise it will shut down on you in limp home mode and leave you stranded. Seen it a few times with range rovers with the same system.
