Default Wiggs Bluetooth upgrade?

I see the above "query" related to my Bluetooth upgrade.

My LR3 came with the Land Rover marketed and dealer installed Bluetooth kit that uses 0000 as the pairing code.

The factory installed system uses 2121.

Basically I removed the 0000 system and installed the D4 module kit as supplied by Wiggs on the D3/4 board in the UK.

Bluetooth Exchange

If you already have a 2121 pairing system, the install is quite easy. If like me, you have the 0000 kit, the installation can be quite the contrary.

I think the official line now is that if you have the 0000 kit, the install is not possible and I can understand why.

I did the install as I had upgraded to a BlackBerry 9900 from my 9630 and the old system did not connect all that well with my "new" BlackBerry. Installing the Wiggs D4 module with the upgraded Bluetooth software resolved all problems. As such, I now have very good Bluetooth connectivity and clarity in my 3 - also caller name and or number display on my little rectangular screen between the speedo and tach plus also on the radio display. The radio keyboard now acts as a phone keyboard for those push 1 to ....

Default Repaired the connector

Well guys, I fixed it. I'm still not exactly sure what the wires/connector go to but I repaired it and everything seems okay. Not the most pretty wire repair ever completed but it'll do.
Thanks to those that contributed on this thread. This is a good community and am happy to be here.

Default fix looks good to me

The fix looks good to me.

Now you purchase a bit of the flexible black plastic wire wrap and cover the electrical tape and the repair look will disappear and it will appear as factory.

Below is some wiring I added related to trickle charging both my batteries without opening the hood each time. The switch is centre off so as shown, power would flow to the left side aux battery. The short pigtail just sticks thru the grill when not picture taking.

To be accurate, I also notice in the jpg some factory wiring above that is wrapped exactly as you did it.

Thanks for updating us as to how your resolved the question.

I suppose that one light is still illuminating however.
