Nice update. I was not aware of the new Kinivo model.

Realizing that this is the LR3 section, this solution also works great on MY2010/2011 LR4s which predate the BT music streaming feature that debuted with the 2012 models.

Resume rocking!

The Kinivos seem like great units and I wanted one too, but the problem with them is that if you have an iPhone, then you have no choice but to send your phone calls through the unit as well. I believe you can choose what protocols you want each bluetooth device to handle on Android phones, but on my iPhone, I wanted the ability to make/receive phone calls through the factory Land Rover bluetooth/radio system and still stream music via bluetooth, so I opted for this:

x2 on the Sound Shocker Pro. No power is required. http://phpaudio.jigsy.com/passive-preamp

I suggest the Pro not the non-pro version.

I followed and installed the same setup as above. Works great, extremely simple, way less cords hanging about. I wanted to keep the interior as stock as possible so these are much easier to hide.

Total cost was $30. I'd recommend over anything else.

DavC - is the audio level louder with that Bluetooth device? If so, is it the same level as the FM?

with bluetooth its about 3 clicks higher than the normal stereo. Picture if I'm running the bluetooth its at volume 20 whereas I have it at 17 for the normal stereo. I'm happy since the aux cable was much worse.

That is excellent info. Thanks! I never could get a clear answer on the Disco site about volume...they just said the quality was better with that device. This is half the price of the SpundShocker Pro, so I think it's a great deal.
