Default HDC Switch (Yellow) Replacement ?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions, what a great forum.

My yellow HDC switch is stuck in the down position (ON ). It does not seem to be the result of an outside influence ( ie Children or Wife ). Ironically, I used another post to fix a problem with my brake switch (thanks again) and everything worked perfectly for 1 day. I then decided to test the HDC, the button depressed but would not return. HDC green stayed on until I shut down, now HDC failure system not available shows in message screen. Battery is 6 mo old and fully charged.

I really think this button is stuck on and malfunctioning b/c it seems dead with no action.

So I removed the floor console upper panel with assistance of another LR post (thank you), and attempted to access the switch.

Question is, can I purchase a HDC yellow switch without buying a whole new console upper panel. Does anyone have a schematic of the floor console upper panel?

I am trying to unseat the white casing below the switch but I am not having much luck.

Any suggestions? I plan to go to the dealer tomorrow and have them look up the parts.

Thanks

Default Thanks

Thank you very much for the fast responses.

unseenone - I appreciate the link. I searched Atlantic British and google but could not come up with the part. Thank you.

I will report back with results of the swap!

My goal was to get the owner all the info so he could make the choice on DIY.

He asked about a schematic, and about taking things apart. Figured the manual was a good place to start. I really don't care where he buys the part.
