Default Help - 2008 LR3

Hey Gang:

We have owned 2011 and 2016 LR4. My wife loves them. Looking at a 2008 LR3 HSE with 113,000 miles for my daughter's first car. There is one for sale around the corner from me in a neighbor's yard - been there for 3+ months. It looks very clean. Tape cassette does not work and rear parking sensors need attention.

What big ticket items should I be wary of?

They want $9k. I was planning to offer $7k.

Thank you!

That said, your best bet is to take it to the dealer or a very good indy mechanic who knows LR3's and have them do a pre purchase inspection. To try and remember the litany of things to look for would be repeating what has been better said in other posts on this forum.

Thank you for the info. It is an LR3 - not sure why I was thinking cassette.

I am familiar with the PPI process.

Thank you for the link djkronik57.

Barring any major issues, be ready to spend approx 3K at a rover shop to get the maintenance caught up. I tell this to all potential buyers.
