Default Help! Blend Motor Access

Needing help from those that have removed the drivers side blend door actuator... I have the dash half torn apart but still can't access the motor. It looks to me like it is in behind the beige footwell panel that is a one piece unit that needs whole front of the dash taken out to remove. Is this correct? I can't see anything else that looks like the motor except what is behind the near impossible to remove panel. I'm about to start plastic panel surgery to cut the panel for access but I need to kow if the motor is where I think it is.

Thanx in advance....

Also, the white plastic tube that come down from beside the steering wheel, is that the temp sensor? While I had the panel off under the steering wheel, I cleaned it as it was quite dusty.

No stop! Remove the front panel below the steering wheel and the soffit panel above your feet and foot pedals. That will give you plenty of access. It is the lower motor. The motor only has three screws. Phil

Can you confirm it is behind the beige plastic piece the carpeted side panel attaches to? Otherwise, I'm jot seeing it. There are two metal coolant hoses going in that I can see but nothing else that has 3 screws to remove that looks like a stepper motor except what I can barely see behind that side plastic piece...... arghghhh!

I have palm ratchets to access it but I don't know if the screws are torx or allen or phillips.

I have the exact same problem and stuck in the same situation.
Do you have some pictures. I have removed the plastic under the steering, the cover I guess and the one that has the lights on. I can’t actually see where is that .

many thanks in advance

I did all of my actuators and the center console has to be detached, and shifted back. The center dash and dash mount needs to be removed.

thinking about it, there is only one actuator that can be a eases without removing this stuff, and it’s the one on the passenger side.

I took video but just haven’t edited it up yet.
