Default Hit a Deer Question

I recently hit a deer going around 40mph. No lights popped up (knock on wood) and the only damage was cosmetic. I have already replaced the grille, though it latches onto the first latch but doesn’t shut all the way. I have my estimate Tuesday for the hood. Has anyone been in this situation and know if it’s more likely for for them to “hit out” the hood or for them to suggest getting a new hood overall? Or any insight on the estimate of cost or what’s recommended with my damage? thank you! ( the first pic is with new grille and second and third are the damage)

may I ask why by chance? I’ve read online about steel lacerations and such and was just wondering why you think so I don’t really know much about the procedure of fixing it

It's aluminum. Aluminum does not repair easily. Plus its in an area of complex folds, not something like a door panel (which are steel on the LR3). Cheaper just to get another hood, with any luck maybe a color match.

Default Did you really have to hit a deer...

...to justify changing to the LR4 grill? Seems extreme.

You got off lightly with that small amount of damage, just phone around for a wrecker with a hood in the same colour.
