How can I disable the parking camera without losing TPMS
What you describe sounds more like the backup camera operation, which has one camera mounted above the rear plate. Also that is D4 which I think was refined/different. The D3 parking camera system (aka proximity camera) is different and has, basically, a surround camera system. Not just one backup camera. It was an incredibly rare option first introduced in 2008 if I recall and not available in the states.. The D4 introduced a much more refined setup. I think basically the D3 system was a "prototype" config they worked on because when the D4 came out the surround camera system was more advertised/pushed to sell to buyers. I dunno. I guess the poster could mean sensors, now that I interchange the text I think either could actually apply.
So if you don't have a swing-away spare tire, you are relegated to mall crawling?? I think swing-away spares are stupid, and I'd put my right foot up against anyone's off-road.
I think the last few posts were made to help understand the problem, not to split hairs.
