IIDGap Tool Questions
Okay guys, I think you'll all have the answers for this, and I've searched for days trying to get these answers to no avail...
I'm looking for a diagnostic tool for my '08 LR3 SE. I'm having a FUN issue where I'm in limp mode, transmission fault, ABS fault, brake switch fault, and MORE! I've replaced the brake switch, check the bulbs, checked the batteries, checked the fuses, and MORE! I ended up taking it to the dealer to troubleshoot this and they wanted to swap the ABS Module due to "too high a voltage on the CAN-BUS" for $3300 to which I was like "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! No."
But I found a used ABS module from a "junk yard" for $150+ shipping and swapped the electronics.
So this leads me to my questions:
I want my rover driving again!!!!
Here's a preeminent "thank you!!!"

So this leads me to my questions:
- Can the IIDGap Tool activate the ABS solenoids and validate them?
- I may need to reset the Yaw Sensors as well, which I'm pretty sure the IIDGap tool can do. Just want to confirm. I still have a yellow "brake" light, yellow ABS light, and a couple of "car tipping over" lights too. I'm still dropped to the bumpstops, but the FAULTs are gone!
- So I also want the IIDGap Tool to work on two LR3s (my brother has an '06 SE), but I want to know if the IIDGap Tool can save it's configuration changes to the LR3 and not be installed on the car? (id est: I want to make changes to my brother's suspension, disconnect the tool there, and then use it in my LR3 predominately.)

The IIDTool is VIN-locked unless you buy one that can be licensed to multiple vehicles, so that's a no-go, but with a work-around. As for your specific questions about what it can do, you should just call (or e-mail) them. They are very responsive.
I ended up buying the IIDTool.
Answers to my questions:
1.) It did NOT allow me to play with the solenoids in the ABS module...
2.) It also doesn't let me reset the yaw sensor on my '08 LR3 SE. It can do it on the LR4s though.
3.) I got an extra unlock code so it works on both LR3s.
So... the most useful thing to me on the IIDTool right now is the Live Values. Speed sensors look good and even per wheel. Steering angles look good. The Yaw Sensor values don't move though... I'm just reading -500deg/s regardless of driving, turning, climbing, descending, etc... I'm suspecting this is bad, but would like some confirmation that the yaw sensor values should change when I do something. Can anyone confirm this? (especially if you have an IIDTool and a working LR3! =)
