Default Intermittent Wiper “Hack”

I recently experimented with the Automatic wiper system and discovered something that just has to be shared.
My automatic wiper sensor never really operated as I’d like…By simply disconnected the module located between the windshield and rear view mirror:
Now my wipers are controlled by the stalk controller just like the good ole days. The slow, normal and fast speed setting work as before and the intermittent **** works beautifully on the slow setting.
If this helps someone, please let me know.
happy driving.

I definitely agree, the automatic wiper system leaves me wanting a little more control. What's the point of the intermediate settings on the control stick if the automatic wiper system is just going to override and wipe as fast as it wants?

I assume the GAP diagnostic tool can fix this - just another reason for me to buy it. Spending $$ on my rig is just like spending $$ on my kids, I can always find a reason.

I miss my BMW system. It had programable intermittent. You would just turn the wiper on then off within 1 second... wait till you feel it should wipe again then turn it on. That wait time you did is now your intermittent delay time. Simple, effective.
