Default Wiper question

For the D2 owners out there, my 2003 rear wiper will sometimes wipe on its own when the front is on, actually more often when truck is first started. Is this normal? I can press the rear wiper switch on and off, still happens intermittingly. Any ideas?

So let me get this straight...at random the rear wiper will come on when the front wipers are on even though the rear wiper switch is not on?

Yes, it is normal for the rear wiper to activate, for quick strokes, while the front wipers are working.

Wow, thanks for the answer, kinda weird feature but it only does it when the front wiper is on. I can live with that. You guys are so helpful.

It could be like my 03 disco and not even have one... I broke the wiper arm off last winter due to wiper being frozen to glass and motor just simply broke the arm... I think it looks better without it myself... that would take care of all your issues real fast... anyone out there got an extra arm cheap... ha....
