Default Key-lock solenoid circuit ?

Guys is there a solenoid to be changed in the ignition when code P173E-00 appears? the code came up during diagnostics on my LR3 and the key gets stuck after I turn off the car sometimes ...anyone???

My first guess would be that perhaps your brake light switch has gone bad. Second guess would be the shift interlock solenoid (the thing that tells the car that you are in "Park"). I would try the brake switch first because it's a known issue with our cars, is relatively cheap (FoMo part on Amazon is like $15-20), and takes about 2 mins to replace.

Awesome...: My local Autozone sells the same part but made by Duralast ..is it good or should I purchase the FoMo brand ?

It's $15...just get the genuine part.

yes. Sold the car since then but it was the brake switch

My ignition turns over and acts like it will start, then stalls. Also experiencing transmission shifting faults. Does this sound familiar?

Yes if I remember correctly once I replaced the brake light switch everything was good. I would start with that..its about $15. Good luck to you.
