I dunno. The spray pattern on that grease in the first picture indicates it's across the car, left to right. If it was from the CV joint, it would be more of a front to back spray pattern. Besides, the CV boots I've had fail certainly haven't resulted in a pattern that nice... it's more like every thing is just covered is nasty grease... everywhere.

Yep, that seems to be the issue. Ill run it to the shop to see if warranty will cover it, from what i have read its not considered a servicable part, should be straight swap. But they denied a torn front axle cv, so I wont hold out hope. If not, back under I go!
