Default Lift points for 2 post lift, 08 LR3

Frank Herę. just joined here. can someone point me to the lift point thread(s). I have a 2 post 12k lift I use for porsche racing... but I need to do the front lower control arms on a 2008 LR3 V8 SE. 139 k miles. I have dreaded this job for awhile but its GO TIME..

Thank you.

Get the lift pads on the frame behind the front control arms, around where the cats are, in the front. For the rear get the pads on the frame right by the air suspension compressor and the bolt for the fuel tank. Be careful not to hit the compressor, try to go a bit behind it. When the truck goes up they tend to be a little tilted when looked at from behind. This is normal on every 2 post I've lifted one on and looks worse than it is. Depending on where you live I would get some PB blaster or other pentation oil onto the rear bolts about 24 hours before you do the job. If you are in an area where things rust expect those bolts to be completely seized. I've used the torch and an air hammer for 20 minutes a bolt and still not been able to get them to budge. Have replacements on hand. If you live in the south with no rust, the job really takes like 45 minutes.

thank you hugh. hugely helpful. yes I have heard a lot about these bolts. to the point where the professional wrenches just use a sawsall to cut the bolts. I have slathered them with PB BLASTER we will see.

the one problem, I have is that the front arms on my 2 post left have been shortened to allow for easy positioning on my Porsches. not sure they will reach to that front Fram position. will try. thanks again.... backup plan is the handy floor jack!

This is on a Bendpak XPR-10AS while replacing brake lines on my 07. They rack nicely. I’m a fan of the frame cradles shown. Hope this helps.
