Question LR-3 60k service

My dealer is charging $1,300 for the 60k service. sounds pricey. Any recommendations?

well kinda pricey but normal for dealership pricing. its just an oil change filter change , pollen filter change and the usual inspection of fluids. i know the rear diff and tbox are done at 75k service though (if it has locking diff) what dealer are you taking it too?

I am taking it to the Naples / FL dealership. Would you recommend having the service done by a non dealership?
Thanks so much for the input.

The majority of non dealership Land Rover service centers that have worked on Land rovers in the past can do this. The only thing they can't usually do is the alignement process. At least from my experience so far this is what I have seen.

And for the life of your truck, do not have the fluids checked, I would flush and refill, but I always go overboard.

60k is the oil filter, rotate, pollen and air filter.

1300 dollars, might include a transmission service and possibly a induction service. Not bad but the regular one should only be the air pollen and the oil filter and rotate. labour should be no less then 1.0 and no more then 1.8 hours.

The problem with the dealership is that they don't tell what is included and what not....I had ordered a replacement key a year ago and it seems they don't care at all.

Any idea where i can find repalcement parts for the LR-3 . I need a mud protection shield underneath the car. ( front passenger side)

If you paid for the key they should have the key. It has to be programmed but they should have the key if ordered. takes six weeks at most to get one.

The shield will be a dealer part only.

Ask them to fax or email you what the service includes.
if they don't want to then tell them you don't want their business.
Trust me you will get it the fax or email real quick.
