Default LR3 Dash Cracks

Are dash cracks just an eventuality on all LR3's or are the newer years sorted out?

i believe the early LR3s and Range Rovers have this issue. Mine cracks right where the passenger airbags are located... What year is yours?

Don't have one yet but looking to upgrade my D2 to an LR3 or 4. If all LR3's have the dash issue I'd probably concentrate on an LR4. But LR3's are such a good deal for what you get. I just hate cracked dashes.

This issue is geography-dependent.

No cracks yet in my 2008. Don't know how the PO kept it, but I always use a sun shade in the windshield when it's parked for a while. It's mostly heat and UV that cause cracks.

I have 2 LR3's both are northern trucks no cracks, I suspect in Georgia that will change sooner or later.

I live in eastern Washington. We have lots of 100 plus degree days, lots of sun, and only 7-10 inches annual precipitation. I'm guessing under those conditions I should expect an eventual cracked dash on even a later model LR3. I was hoping they might have fixed the issue with a later model year.
