Default Lr3 leaking coolant above trains cooler...

Hello, I am new here but not new to the many ups n downs of owning Lr3's. I am currently experiencing a coolant leak above my trans cooler on my 05 lr3 4.4 sport. I checked the water pump for any signs of leaking, shaky pulleys, coolant from weep hole, and I can't see any other places where it could be coming from. I replaced the T valve on top, thermostat housing, checked all hoses, replaced radiator, but can't trace this leak for the life of me. I was wondering if anyone else has actually experienced this particular leak? It doesn't appear to be the water pump, I am kinda lost though. Thanks Guys! Roverguy219

I believe you mean oil cooler, just for clarity.

It has to be your water pump or thermostat assembly/water crossover.

Pull off intake tube, then upper radiator shroud, and if possible fan. You will see it.

thank you for the quick reply! Yes I do mean oil cooler. I am confused because I just replaced thermostat housing yesterday. I also had pulleys off to inspect water pump and no dripping around it at all.. my T bleeder valve is new too. Thank you again!

Default 05 lr3 leaking near oil cooler!?? New pics!

Dry weep hole on water pump.
Maybe some leakage from water pump. ??

Where the leak is ending up at.

Thank you for your replies! I have an 05 lr3 4.4L that is leaking coolant near the oil cooler or at least that is the lowest point. I checked all around my thermostat housing, my T bleeder valve and I can't seem to see anything. I also replaced my thermostat housing and bleeder valve, I removed my water pump because it is cheap enough to do and everyone is saying that it is probably the culprit. Upon inspection of it though, it has no wiggle time it or any fluid coming out of the weep hole... I dunno I am going to replace it and see what that gets me. Thank you all for your input! This forum is absolutely Amazing!

a lot of times its the WP gasket and not the pump itself.

There looks to be a leak at the oil cooler and also at the oil filter. There is a special "O" ring for the filter body.
