That may be it. Mine is not mounted they way its shown there, but the wire colors seem similar. My next move was to pull up wring diagrams and see what they say.

Wonder why I have the connector and others dont.

FWIW, I have a engine bay harness from a 2006 HSE that had adaptive headlights, washers, park assist and had this connector plugged just like yours. My 2006 Base model has it too. Maybe they were thinking of adding FLIR. Whatever the plug was intended for was low amperage. Looks like 18 gauge wire.

I had to replace the left front turn signal and when I removed the grille I found the plug you're talking about. Anyone figure out what it is yet?


The turkey deep fryer hook is the specialized tool to pop the back latch on an lr3 headlamp.
