Was thinking of selling mine, but the value to me was more than market value. I'm a little annoyed with some recent rattles, but I'm the original owner and it has been dealer serviced from day 1. It will never leave my home, and it still looks brand new. Always garaged and dry Colorado air helps. Wife keeps suggesting to be reasonable and think about it, but no way is this ultra loaded HSE ever leaving my home. If and when it does, its only going to someone that can appreciate it. My sales ad that day will be absurd, LR3 looking for a good home, but only with an in person meeting to guarantee it sees someone care for it like I do.

Had the right side pillar trim come off. Retrieved it and held it on with black duct tape till I got new clips. Now there is a snorkel there and it is not coming off. Also got clip set and redid the left side, just in case.
I have made up my mind that it is always going to be something.

I said screw it and purchased new trim for the A pillars last year. Was a wise investment, as previous clips were worthless. I'm likely one that spends a little more, but I don't see the logic in going cheap after spending xyz on it. I tried new clips for a day, waste of time. Windshields (heated) are expensive, new trim for the A Pillars are nothing every few years. I recently replaced the plastic between the windshield and hood, also not a big deal for a 12 year old vehicle.

The trim for both A pillars isn't that expensive, and I'm not driving a Rav4. I will continue to do it right every time I need a new windshield (only Pilkington). Not a fan of the others offered.

COSPILOT are you saying that with a new trim purchase there are revised (design) clips, or what?

I would have considered those trim pieces as a "refresh item" after they'd been so beat up by trees and brush off-road, but I found the right polish product for them and they look awesome, so I'm okay with them. I replaced my driver's side wheel arches last year. They were scuffed up bad enough that it warranted replacing them, not so much on my passenger side. I was worried that they would not match, but they did. My 13 year old arches kept their color well, I guess.

No, but even the clips sold by Atlantic British are a little different and didn't seem to hold as tight as the ones on the new pillar trim I purchased. The noise at 70-90 mph was so ridiculous that I had to do something asap.

Only the new A pillar trim pieces come with improved grey colored sturdy clips. They are a much improved, holding trim piece with no chattering during cross winds and also hard to remove once installed to the point that you can break them. AB sells regular yellow clips that are far worst that those that come with a trim piece when purchased as whole unit.

Having paid 11.5 I went ahead and replaced both front hubs and rotors and the sway bar link and bushing (that had popped off), and all new coolant hoses, bleeder valve, and thermostat. Also went ahead and replaced the pcv and cleaned the throttle body. Purring like a kitten and driving in a straight line, so I’m happy

I picked up some clips to secure mine at advance auto that are tight. I had to trim the head slightly to fit the trim piece. Super snug though no issues. I'll see if I can find the part number.

At one point, I was trying to sell mine as well but I was only getting lowballed on top of the ridiculously low value. My D3/LR3 actually is worth WAY more than that to me. So... I guess I'll be keeping mine for a long time now

Totally...like I said before, there is nothing that can match it in terms of capability and versatility, so why bother selling it if it's running good? What would a person buy in its stead? Another LR3 or LR4? That would just yield its own problems that the previous owner pushed forward. A G-Wagen? Yeah okay $$$$ ...and I'm not even sure that's more capable unless it's the new 4x4^2 version. ....a Range Rover? Big bucks, same capability.
