Not sure about the center CV joint, it would be balanced with the rearward portion of the shaft if anything. But a CV should not need any balancing like the shaft itself. I would have to assume that the wear of the joint is what is the cause.

I am open to the possibility that some kind of problem in the joint or shaft caused the bushing to disintegrate and still exists, but the current one is absorbing the strain well and it's not a very noticeable vibration.

Looking at purchasing a new drive shaft. Typically buy from Atlantic British but info is limited and I want to ensure I’m not buying the same one Dakota got the first time.

Atlantic British with limited info is $499.95

Lucky8 currently says it’s a GKN listed for $428.

Any advice?

AB will likely be OEM. Also check out LRDirect, even with shipping they can be the best price. Although prices have gone up since I bought mine from them.

Lifetime replacement... how can you beat that with a GKN (Same as OEM) driveshaft? I bought one and it's the real deal.
