LR3 Remotes
Not Quiet sure Yet, How long do you think a flat Remote will take to Charge up? Would it take a few days of use?
Mine both completely died. I gave up and replaced one of them with an aftermarket shell. had to take the original key apart and then move the transmitter over, since the LR replacements are several hundred dollars.
My second one just won't hold a charge anymore, even after charging for hours...

so have used the key for 5 days and dead as a door nail! O well worth a try. Note to others rotate your keys.
You can replace the batteries for these - I can't recall what the actual battery is but you just have to buy the rechargable one - If memory servers and its been a while I think the best option was to just replace the casing at the same time as I think you have to cut the casing to get to the battery but it should solve your dead battery issue and save that second remote.
This is a good idea. I have a dead FOB as well. I have been resistant to cut it open for fear that I can't get it back together, but if I can get a spare case maybe it's worth "operating" on. Where is the best place to source the covers and are they OE?
