Default LR3 Trans Code E + No Crank/No Start

Hello All,
I recently got back from a week long vacation and my 2008 LR3 with 165k on the clock is throwing a trans code "E" on the instrument gear indicator, and does not crank when the key is turned. The information screen shows Engine System Fault, Park Brake Fault, And Transmission Fault Limited Gears Available. I am also unable to shift the vehicle out of park. When attempting to start there is a click from the passenger side footwell. My troubleshooting thus far has consisted of a new brake light switch, disconnecting both tail lights, checking passenger footwell for corrosion, swapping the immobilizer relay, charging the battery on a trickle charger overnight, checking center console connectors for corrosion, swapping the starter relay, and jumping the starter relay. On first attempt i was able to get the car to start by turning the key to run, and jumping the starter relay. Now when i attempt that the car just cranks. One thing that seems to be of note, when i attempt to start the vehicle, the coolant temp gauge jumps to red, and the overheating indicator flashes red and then stays solid red. I have checked the coolant temp sensor wiring and it appears intact. I am not sure if this is a byproduct of the other faults or potentially a cause but from the threads I have read on the subject I can find no mention of it. I am at a loss at this point for what to do/check. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will try to add a photo of the cluster indicators below as well.

The vehicle has the following codes stored
U0100 - Lost Communication With Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module "A"
U0101 - Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module
B1A55 - Crash Record Output Circuit
U0416 - Invalid Data Received From Vehicle Dynamics Control Module
U0127 - Lost Communication With Tire Pressure Monitor Module
U0122 - Lost Communication With Vehicle Dynamics Control Module

Thanks,
Evan F

Did it do all that right away? Or did it show just the "E" and then go crazy when you plugged in your GAP Tool? The latter has happened to me....those codes are fairly benign.

....definitely seems voltage related. I'd be looking at Battery, Alternator, Starter.

Have you tried a Hard Reset?

Yes, it all happened immediately. I'll try throwing my yukon battery in it tomorrow. Alternator is ~6 months old and the starter cranks like a bat out of hell when the relay is jumped. I haven't tried a hard reset yet. I will give that a go tomorrow as well after I try a different battery. Thanks!

....did you happen to plug in your IIDTool while the engine was running?

Small fruitless update, Tried a new known good battery, and tried a hard reset for 18 hours or so and It’s still throwing the same codes. Sometimes if I flip the key on and off repeatedly it still shows E but also shows a small d to the right of it. I cleaned out all of the contacts in the center console again thinking something in there thought it was in drive but still the same result.

Another Update, Swapped immobilizer relay for a brand new one and now i am down to two codes. Still getting the fault messages on the dash, and transmission code E. I ohmed the OBD pins 6-14 and 3-11 and got 60 on each which I think removes an actual break in the HS CAN circuit. Still wont crank via the key, but if the starter relay is jumped with the key on I can get it to run.
P0851 - Park/Neutral switch input - Circuit Low
U0101 - Lost Communication With Transmission Module

So looks like the park inhibitor switch is faulty or a wiring issue.

Hey all, It ended up being the capacitor on the side of the trans. Unplugged it and car is back to normal. Have a new one on order to replace.

Would like to add to the thread, I experienced the same exact faults on my 2006 LR3 4.4 along with hazard lights flashing. Turned out to be the steering angle. Like WTF. lol When I used the Gap tool my steering angle was totally out of whack at 346 degrees. Centered the wheel( not a easy thing with no power, lol) reset the steering angle and it started right up. Truck was working perfectly the night before when I parked it. I definitely have a love hate relationship with this stupid truck, I mean awesome. lol.
