LR3 Wheel Spacer Adapters??
I'm looking at lifting my LR3 and doing a meatier tire. I want to paint my wheels, install bigger tires, install the Johnson lift rods and do about a 1.25" wheel spacer adapter. So far I'm pretty clear on everything except the spacer adapters, everywhere I read I see people saying that "spacers" will cause the hub to be uncentered and you will expierence shaking, wheel vibrations, lug nuts loosening, etc. I've installed 2" wheel spacers on my bronco and I know it's definitly recommended to use some red thread locker on the lugs to the hub to prevent the lug nut loosening. But I'm just wondering if I'm going to have all of these issues with a "spacer adapter" rather than a spacer only kind of deal. And I'll post a link of the spacer adapters I'm looking at buying. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,
I have installed what I would call the largest tire that anyone should install.
I run 285 65 R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers
They have an aggressive lide lug, and this lead to the tire rubbing on th upper control arms in the front, requiring spacers. I used the flat plate style spacers and found that I did lose hub centre and experienced vibration, lug nut loosening, and so on. The tire measures 32.69 inches when new (advertised as a 33"). AND they rubbed EVERYWHERE! The tire is too large for the wheelwell, even with the Johnson Rod lift.
Most people on this sire will recommend that you buy the electronic tools to change the settings in the computer to establish your lift. And a 32 inch tire is the maximum recommended tire size.
I'm not sure if spacing the tire will affect the turning radius, or cause the tire to rub while in full steering, but experimenting will cost you money - I CAN GUARANTEE THAT.
I can answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability. I have attached some photos, for reference.

I haven't messed with the wheel spacers yet. The only thing I've done is lift rods and they came out good. I just got the cheap ones off of eBay and trimmed them for a bigger lift. I have replaced the wheel hub assembly though and it was so easy, don't know why people are so afraid of these rovers! I'll update when I get spacers and tires.
Sorry for a very late reply, but these window shades or vent visors or air deflectors or whatever Land Rover calls them, are OEM. I bought this rig used and they were installed before I came to own it.
I know they are OEM as they carry the LR badge. A new set of four will cost about $350 CAD from the dealership. Online would be much better pricing.
