Default Mirror change-out

My 2007 had the heavy OEM mirror fall off and no amount of gluing would work. I've taken it down and replaced with a light suction cup panoramic mirror I like much more. So I tucked the wires in the header. Is there anything I'm missing in other functionality of other accessories, before I dispose of the OEM mirror? I'm asking because I learned the hard way trying to remove the OEM GPS and losing radio function.

TIA

They glue up really easy. You use a specific glue after cleaning, THEN you mount the mirror to the mount you glued which I think involves placing and twisting it to lock in place.

Thanks. I tried all that, but it didn't work, and I like this mirror better. I just don't want to dispose of it before making sure the wiring isn't compromising something else.
